The MHSA Speakers' Bureau is dedicated to providing opportunities for people who have experienced homelessness the chance to share their stories and educate the public about solutions to homelessness. MHSA established the Speakers' Bureau in 2010, supported by the National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH) and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). Since we began, we have reached an estimated 20,000 community members across Massachusetts and New England.
Presenting to schools, faith communities, and other community groups, speakers provide insight into the realities of homelessness, raise awareness about the importance of housing, and encourage audiences to engage in efforts to end homelessness.
Meet the Speakers
Our Speakers' Bureau includes people from a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, each with a unique story. We are honored to be able to introduce you to some of our speakers today. Meet the Speakers.

Leadership Development Program
The MHSA Leadership Development Program (LDP) is an eight-week course for young adults who have experienced homelessness. Co-facilitated by an experienced youth service worker and a young adult peer leader who has experienced homelessness, the course is designed to help participants develop their leadership and advocacy skills and use their voices to shape public conversations and action to end homelessness among young adults.
