Originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cheryl has traveled to many different places. After spending most of her young adult life in New York City, Cheryl traveled back home to Boston in late 1980s. After overcoming some of life’s most difficult obstacles, she is the definition of a survivor. Achieving sobriety 18 years ago, Cheryl has since obtained housing and has become very involved in her community. Cheryl joined the Speakers’ Bureau when it began in 2010, and she enjoys sharing her story with audiences as a way of giving back to her community with gratitude for all of the help she received. An avid cook, Cheryl loves taking part in making community dinners. She also enjoys collecting angel figurines and creating arts and crafts projects.
