Non-Profit Seeks Chief Financial Officer

A well-known Non-Profit Organization in the Health and Human Services Sector is looking for a CFO. The Company is located approximately 30 minutes North of Boston. The Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and be responsible for all accounting and finance functions of the organization.  The CFO will be a Member of the Senior Management Team, and interface heavily with the Board and other Senior Officers and Managers. The CFO will ensure that all financial reporting is done in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Additional specific responsibilities will include;

  1. Participate in the development of the organization’s plans and programs.
  2. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning.
  3. Provide timely analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the President & CEO, the Board, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities. 
  4. Develop, implement, enhance, and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls.  
  5. Provide strategic financial input on decisions affecting the organization such as; potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers.
  6. Provide strategic financial input on decisions affecting the organization such as; potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers.
  7. Optimize the handling of bank relationships and initiate strategies to enhance the cash position.
  8. Oversee the external auditor relationship.
  9. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
  10. Ensure compliance of local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax reporting.
  11. Ensure appropriate reports are filed as required by the applicable regulatory or governing agencies.

The ideal Candidate will have strong analytical, planning, and communication skills, and 10+ years of accounting experience gained in a Health and Human Services or other related industry. Candidates should be currently working as a Controller or CFO  and have knowledge of Non-Profit reporting issues. A CPA and or an MBA would be highly preferred. Compensation will be in the $125k-$130k range, and include a Bonus, and an excellent benefits package. The Company will not offer relocation services for this position.
