As part of its ongoing effort to study and promote Housing First models, MHSA created a short documentary about the Home & Healthy for Good pilot program. The video contains interviews with formerly homeless individuals -- now tenants in the Home & Healthy for Good program -- as well as experts in the fields of health care, government, social science and business.
"This video captures the essence of Housing First and explains the direct link between homelessness and poor health" said MHSA Executive Director Joe Finn. "It is our hope that its message will resonate with policymakers as well as taxpayers. We can no longer afford to simply treat people on the street and in shelter -- we must make permanent housing a priority."
