Educate Yourself and Your Local Community
- Educate yourself about homelessness and ways to end it. Learn about Home & Healthy for Good, MHSA’s permanent supportive housing program, by clicking here, or read articles of interest about homelessness and housing by clicking here.
- Help your community learn and understand this issue by integrating special readings into your worship services or events and inviting speakers to your community. To request a SAM presentation for your social action committee, youth group or entire community, contact Caitlin Golden at cgolden@mhsa.net or 617.367.6447 ext. 28.
- Write letters to the editor supporting solutions to homelessness.
- Ask questions when you volunteer with or donate to organizations addressing the issue of homelessness. How does the organization contribute to ending, not merely managing, homelessness? How can you help?
- Spread the word that homelessness is a problem with a solution. Talk to your family, friends and colleagues.
